The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies.

The Socitey for Social Work and Research is devoted to the involvement of social workers, other social work faculty, and social work students in research and to promotion of human welfare through research and research applications.

IFSW is currently affiliated with over 50 national organizations around the world. Its mission is to support Social Work Organizations in promoting the participation of social workers in social planning and the formulation of social policies, nationally and internationally, and the enhancement of social work training and the values and professional standards of social work.
