Use these tools to manage your citations and format your papers. Each tool allows you to import and export records in BibTeX format.

• Is there a program that you are expected to use, for example by your professor/supervisor/lab director?
• Is there a program that is used by other people you are working with, for example class/team/lab members or research partners?

The format for a standard citation depends on the style (IEEE, APA, etc). Whichever style is used, the citation usually needs this information:

• Issuing agency
• Standard number
• Standard title
• Publication date
• Specific version (if applicable)

Examples in IEEE style:

• Test method for density or relative density of engine coolant concentrates and engine coolants by the hydrometer, ASTM Standard D 1122, 2016.
   
• Fire resistant tanks for flammable and combustible liquids, UL Standard 2080, 2000.

The format for a standard citation depends on the style (IEEE, APA, etc). Whichever style is used, the citation usually needs this information:

• Assignee (owner)
• Patent title
• Country
• Patent stage (Patent or Patent Application)
• Patent (or application) number
• Date of award (or application)
