McCrorey Gallery McCrorey Gallery

Description:

H. Lawrence McCrorey was one of the first Black faculty members at UVM in the 1960s. When he retired in 1995, the H. Lawrence McCrorey Gallery of Multicultural Art was created to commemorate McCrorey and his work in fighting racism both at the University of Vermont and in the state at large. Located on the first floor of the Howe Library, the Gallery displays works that focus on racism, diversity, and social issues, created by contemporary artists of color.

This area on the first floor of Howe Library is a popular study space with large tables for collaborative and individual study.

You'll find the McCrorey Gallery when you walk in the front door of the library--it is to the left before you get to the Reference Desk or the Media Services Desk.
